Swap Meat is a co-op objective based shooter that has you dropping onto planets, taking care of business, and trying to get out before the big bads show up and ruin your day.
The main gameplay has you blasting everything you see to smithereens, with a chunk of enemies dropping body parts that give you new powers and wild new shapes. You also level up, giving you options to upgrade various parts of your build. It’s fairly frantic and explosive, and gives me some Serious Sam vibes in a sense. It’s kinda great, I loved Serious Sam.
From the perspective of the demo, there’s a lot of polish and a lot of attention put into fitting the world together, though I did hit a progression blocking bug while streaming. A dev was tuned in at the time though, and said they’d get it worked on. It had worked on other runs, so probably just a situation where the world generated just off enough to cause it.
The demo still appears to be up for people to try, with progress transferring to the full game, which is out already in early access. There are a few tiers to paying for the game and upcoming DLC, but at it’s base, it’s 19.99.
