In Winter Burrow, you’re a little mouse returned to your childhood home after your parents abandoned it to move to the city. City life was not kind, and now you’re back and time has taken it’s toll in your absence. To make matters worse, you’ve made the decision to return during the harshest of seasons.

Thankfully, the game is fairly lenient in materials will respawn overnight outside, and you’ve got a decent amount of time before you upgrade to warmer clothing. Eventually you can trek over to your aunts, who has spent her life in the area and is more than willing to help you out with recipes to craft more items and delicious pies.

The game has a bit of a story in the setup before you start, and continues along as you complete quests and objectives, which I’ll be vague about. The demo itself ending on a slight cliffhanger where you can keep playing, but you can’t progress. Overall it took me about an hour, but could be done in less I’d assume, I’m not the most efficient with my time in these games, picking up anything and everything even if I can’t use it or won’t need it.

Winter Burrow has just released with a base price of 17.99, and is also available on Game Pass.
